問題文

次の英文は、高校生の卓矢 (Takuya) が行ったスピーチである。これを読んで問い(1)～(8)に答えよ。

One day in June, a student from America came to my junior high school. His name was *Lucas, and he came to Japan with his family.
When he introduced himself in my class, he said, “I want to have a great time in this class. I like Japan. Especially, I like Japanese temples. Please tell me if you are interested in them.” I also like them, so ① I wanted to talk with him.
After Lucas introduced himself, he sat next to me. When I saw him, he looked nervous because he sometimes couldn’t understand Japanese. I *was not confident in speaking English, but I tried to support him in English. When I helped him, he said, “Thank you for helping me.” We soon became friends. After we finished eating lunch, everyone ②(stand) up from their chairs.
He asked me what we were going to do. I told him that we were going to clean our classroom. He said, “Really? I didn’t know that students clean their classrooms *by themselves in Japan. Students don’t have to clean their classrooms at my school in America.

He said, “In my *hometown, people can travel with their bikes by bus.” I asked, “You mean you can put bikes inside, right?”
He answered, “No. You can put bikes outside.” I couldn’t imagine that. Then, he showed me a picture of the bus on his phone. I said,
“How interesting! I want to ride a bus like that in America.” I became interested in American buses and wanted to know more about the *differences between Japanese and American *vehicles.
　The next day, I went to the library and *borrowed a book about American vehicles. After I ⑤（enjoy） reading the book at home,
my sister asked what it was. I showed her the American buses in the book. Then, I told her that Lucas talked to me about them.
She said, “When I was in America, I talked with students from different countries. I found many differences between Japan and other countries, and that was interesting to me. If you talk with Lucas more, you can learn many things. I think *conversations with people from other countries help you understand about their countries *deeply. I’m sure talking with Lucas will be a great *opportunity for *both of you.” Then, I wanted to talk with him more.
The next day, I talked to Lucas about the conversation with my sister. He said, “I can understand what she said. When I talk with you,
I can learn about Japan, and that makes me become more interested in your country.” I said, “I also want to know more about your country. I have found that talking with people from other countries is a great opportunity to learn about their countries. I’m happy to spend a good time with you.”
　One day in September, Lucas left Japan. When we said “goodbye” to each other at the *airport, he told me about some of his memories in Japan. He said it was exciting to talk with me. 指示語問題なので直前に答えがある。
「I also like them=(Japanese temples)」が正解となる。

過去形に変える。

（3） ア　
内容読解問題だが難易度は簡単。surprisedとあるので、日本と違ってアメリカはという内容になると推察できる。すると選択肢はアかイ。
さらに掃除を行う日本とは異なる文化だから驚いたと解釈できるので、答えはア。

（4） （a）put bikes outside　（b）イ　
第三段落をまとめる。
（a）は3語というところがヒント。その指示が無ければtravel with their bikesでもよい。
（b）内容的にイしか適さない。
各選択肢の和訳は以下
